Hi Portofino, I thought I'd find you here!

I don't think I have any time before Christmas, I can't even go to any of the BCT things, but keep me updated with the nights out anyway!

I know it is a busy time of year, that's why I thought I better get posting! I have no holiday left. Well at least not til Xmas Eve. So who does St Nicolas or Xmas or both?

We do both, my children are so spoilt! Dh and I just cannot give up one or the other. Dh is already doing a run up to Sinterklaas with little sweets in the morning (a bit like an advent calender), and the girls will have their main present on SinterKlass, with one from Father Christmas and maybe a stocking as well each. I love filling the stocking with little gifts.

I have a Colruyt order in, but need to go shopping! We're doing pressies on SinterKlaas and going to De Efteling for Xmas! No cooking for me yey!

Efteling will be fantastic at Christmas!

Hope so! Have never been but it looks very festive! DH doesn't want to go to England, and I refuse to stay home and run round after everyone. We did it one year since we've been in Belgium and it was dull. I forced DH to play Triv in the afternoon....

Hopefully my Dutch will be OK by then

Evening! As always I'm interested
Just getting over having an op last week, so probs not in the next couple of weeks, but after that would be great. Am off to UK from 22-28th Dec, but around over New Year. Maybe we should do a nice meal out too over Christmas period - somewhere where we could get a bit dressed up maybe? Have just been eying up gorgeous sparkly stuff on the Laura Ashley website, so am getting in the mood!

What's De Efteling?

Hi! Hope nothing too serious and you are on the mend! A New Year(ish) get together would be nice - excuse for shopping for sparkly things always welcome . Do Laura Ashley DO sparkly? It used be floral and sailor collars .

We're away 24th - 27th and I'm debating whether to go back to Kent for a few days after that... or to leave it til January.

De Efteling is a theme park in Holland, that Walt Disney based the original Disneyland on.

About 1.5 hours drive from here. They do a Winter version with fake snow, and sledging, skating etc and it is open on Xmas day!

To tell the truth I was actually looking at placemats They are sparkly though... I went back and ordered them, so am deffo in the mood for Christmas!

De Efteling looks wonderful, you lucky thing! Have a fab time!
