I am American...so NOT a soccer mom!! Yes...I believe that the Yummy Mummy is the UK equivalent...you know the type, the one who picks her kids up from playgroup in a smart (and clean) SUV, dressed to the absolute nines, with healthy snacks for her darling angels. They live in a huge, always clean house, where she cooks and bakes and decorates to perfection.

Please. When I rock up to playgroup, I am usually concerned that I've left the house in a rush and forgot to brush my teeth. Again. Clothes don't match, hair a mess, car a mess...you get the idea.

Too funny. I have some soccer mom friends...and yes, it is a bit of a veiled insult! :-)
