We are going to be in tokyo for 4 days then kyoto 4 days with a 6 year old boy and 18 months daughter.

Would very much apreciate your input as this does not seem to be the most child friendly destination.

We live in Asia so food not a problem and ours kids actually enjoy the cultural shocks.

Our beloved nanny travelling with us. Don't laugh, its common in asia. so our plan is to have am and pm activities with a long lunchtime nap for the kids.

but here (singapore) things are not quite as urban. So we are a bit worrried about getting around in such a buoyant city.

  1. what are your top (child friendly) attractions?

  2. Are we deluded thinking we can sleep in a ryokan in Kyoto?

all other tips most welcome.

tks
