I haven't, but my parents did. They contacted a kennels near the airport that did the pickup on the UK side. It was a Forces organisation that sorted out the stuff for them in Cyprus.

There are companies that do the paperwork but they can charge a fortune.

Do your pets have passports?

michymama · 02/11/2008 12:34

I'm in the process of getting the passports done. Its v complicated as Sicilians don't "do" rules and regulations. DEFRA is so strict on its rules too, quite rightly, but when your in a place where rules don't exist its hard

Yes, moved our dog from UK to Austria and then Austria to UK 5 years later. In between times we did 2 trips back to UK with the dog. Admittedly we've only done it driving and not by air. What do you need to know?

I'm looking for a company that will just take care of everything ! DEFRA will only accept animals on certain routes and there are no routes from Sicily !
ANY advice glady received !

Hi we used Petair Uk (google to bring our cats from the UK to Singapore but I know they do the other leg as well. Will definitely be using them if/when we come back. They did everything and were extremely helpful with my worries queries. Quite expensive but worth it to save on the hassle of having to do it ourselves.
