UK based investment platforms I can use from Dubai?

I’m English but a long term UAE resident and recently inherited £200k which is sitting in my UK bank account. I’m looking for a UK platform which would allow me to invest in a shares portfolio. All the ones I’ve looked at (Vanguard etc) require UK residency, which I don’t have, although I come back a couple of times a year.

Why do you want it to be uk based? Given you’re currently non- resident it makes more tax sense to use an offshore portfolio like HSBC expat ( jersey).

Thanks @AllJoyAndNoFun .

I am looking for UK based as I don’t fancy swimming in shark infested waters. The UK finance industry throws up some rogues but overall is highly regulated and transparent.

Try Redmayne Bentley - they won't give you investent advice if you are abroad I don't think, and they aren't an investment platform per say, but they will allow you to invest money in a UK regulated investment firm - they are expensive to make frequent trades with, so try not to chop and change too much.

At least move it into NS&I while you find something. You don't need to be UK resident to have their accounts.

Just use HSBC Expat or Interactive Brokers. Don’t touch St James’s Place.
