Hi, moved here with DH and DD Evie (1 year old), 2 months ago and finding it really hard to meet other mums. I'm living in Rozelle, so if anyone out there lives nearby I'd love to hear from you. Got on a bus from circular quay the other day intending to get home quickly and it took an hour. Hmmm..reckon I've got a lot to learn. Evie needs some new mates as she's getting seriously bored of her mum too!

That's great Leonie. Where is Jellybean playgroup? Haven't heard of that one. One more thing, if you haven't done this already, but you'll need to register with the Early Childhood Centre which is at the Rozelle end of Darling Street for DD's growth checks etc and they should also be able to hook you up with a Mums group with babies her age. It will have been running for a year or so but they'll probably be open to new members. We had a couple join our group 8 months in and they still meet every week 5 years on! I would move back tomorrow if I could. I envy you and ninedragons - it's bliss around there.

Its on Roberts St, just round the corner from me! I'm going to register with the Early Childhood centre this week. Funnily enough DH is great friends with the husband of one of the women who run it - Caroline. She's originally from Blackpool, I think. Mad old world..
Hurry up ninedragons and violentfemme!

Ha, my husband is from near Blackpool. There was never any question about whose home town we would move to when we finished in Asia. He took me to Blackpool once. I was open-mouthed at the crapness of it.

mmmm Sydney vs Blackpool, no competition there then (although my mum and dad had their honeymoon in Blackpool).

Be there soon leonie!

Hey - there are no donkeys on Bondi beach - Blackpool wins hands down on that one. (Hmmm - methinks I'm suffering from lack of sleep after being online to a mumsnetter last night!)

We may be going to Sydney on hols in June - fancy a coffee in Balmain one day? We are not quite sure yet, but if we do go I'd love to see you. Well, I say that, but having looked at your profile, I would be very embarrassed to be seen beside your glamorous self.

ninedragons · 11/05/2008 14:42

Ooh, cross-posted. CAT me and we'll keep in touch.
