Please help me work out how to get a visa for italy

Dd needs a student visa. We have been googling for ever. She’s driven to Manchester today as she reckoned someone told her to turn up at the consulate and it would be done but they’ve turned her away.

she has everything she needs in the way of evidence.

I’ve found the vfs website but it only lets me book an appt in Amman, I can’t scroll down the list! Can I pay a company to sort this as I don’t seem to have the IQ to work it out?

She’s meant to be going out in two weeks time. I’m close to telling her not to bother with a visa

I'm assuming it's for university level study? Is her institution no help at all?
