Letter for one parent travelling with DC

We're due to move abroad in the next couple of weeks. I'm going ahead with DC and DH is following a couple of weeks later. I've just remembered I need a letter signed by DH to take DC out of the country. Any particular advice about this? Do I need it notarised? I see some templates online but they are for short holidays rather than one way tickets. I'm running on pure adrenaline trying to finalise everything so any calming words gratefully received. I'm now wondering what else I've forgotten...

A letter formal in style with a contact number he can be reached on

Yes, second that. We use a signed, handwritten one with contact details. Just made up the content ourselves. Has been accepted in Switzerland and Canada.

Thanks so much both!
