Does anyone work in NEOM?

I’ve changed my name for this as I’ve not mentioned my plans to my sisters, who I think are on here.

I’m thinking of finishing my career in Neom. One year would give me a huge income boost. I already live in a nearby country and visit Neom for work so I know all about the disadvantages geographically and the accommodation etc and the ethical and geopolitical situation so no need to mention that.

My husband would move with me and work remotely. My question is, is there a coworking space set up yet for spouses? He wouldn’t want to work from our cabin all the time. This would be a dealbreaker.

Is it as liberal towards women as the rest of Saudi Arabia? Snazzy marketing though.

It’s more like Dubai than like the rest of Saudi

Neom isn't built yet. There is very little up there right now. I know guys who have moved from Riyadh to there and they get an internal flight allowance monthly to allow them to travel within the country so they don't get too bored up there. That said, if you are going to make X 4 your salary now. Go for it!

Hi wanted to ask if you may have any insights on what it will be like to be pregnant in NEOM, please. I've been offered a role and i am at the age where I also intend to get a baby. If the medical and facilities are alright i am willing to take up the offer and spend my pregnancy months in NEOM.

@Nightorchid I left KSA a few years ago now, but things I'd check :
*What maternity leave you would get (KSA is 70 days, with option to extend by 35 days)
*What hospital facilities are available in NEOM - very few would be my guess. Indeed What facilities of any kind are currently available - and consider that the "Boots coming soon" signs on a shop front already branded Boots took 2 years to open. Imminent has a different meaning out there.
*Current practice for naming babies. When we left all babies had to have their fathers first name as a middle name. So you might end up with baby Ava Garry Smith.

Thanks for posting OP, it's interesting to read about. Embarrassingly I thought you were referring to the luxury organics brand at first.

Lolol. I did too
