Moving to Australia?

Me and my partner are 26, turning 27 this year we have an almost 2 year old son, we are planning to have one more baby.

We are considering our options to move to Australia, we want a better life for our children, my uncle moved his family over there 12 years ago now and his children have now grown up and they live a much better life than I believe we can offer our son living here.

We live in the west midlands currently and there is nothing to do here, I'm scared for my son to grow up here with all the crime, the cost of living crisis and everything else, I know things will also be expensive there like food but from what I've heard your overhead costs are cheaper and the quality of like is much better and that is all I want for my son, I want him to have opportunities.

We have our own house and I think we will have about £50k in equity if we decide to sell.

Has anyone else moved to Australia? How much did it cost? What would you recommend?

Since Covid quite a few country areas have grown and developed, though. Not in the far off areas, admittedly, but within a couple of hours or so from the big cities. Thinking of places like Phillip Island, Echuca, Gippsland etc. The house prices reflect this movement.

Hi , I saw your post on moving to Australia. I was looking some advice . I was going to relocate to Perth and then I had a last minute. Can I PM with you to discuss further. I’m regretting my decision so much but still have the fear about relocating and the cost of education and housing..

@Weegie91 I was thinking about returning to Perth but cancelled last minute. I suppose I’m looking for some advice on your experience. I cancelled due to the fear of public schools there and the cost of paying for having to Pay private plus the mortgage. Any advice would be appreciated if I could pm you. I hope you are still enjoying your life there. Kind regards.😊

Hi did you visit Australia? We are in the same situation I’m 27 & my husband is 30. His uncle also lives there and has a great life. I have two young children. I really want to do what is best for my children. What did you think of your visit?
