Can anyone help with French ID card application?!

Does anyone know of anyone who can talk me through simply how to apply for my French identity card? I was born in France to a French mother and had an ID card as a child and now want to reapply to have one again but my French (although half decent) is not good enough to cope with the consulate website. I would be eternally grateful to anyone who could recommend an agent (?) or someone I could pay to help me - or are you an expert?! I find this kind of admin overwhelming!

@Icedblondelatte I’ve been on there every day this at the exact times they say but no luck! I’m back to work next week so won’t be able to spend so much time on the website.

That was a challenge for me too! Harder as I specifically needed a Friday appointment. I used check in very early, 6am or 7am. Appointments were released a day at a time, around six weeks in advance of the date. Took me a few goes before I got my Friday slot.

It would be great to understand if you managed to get everything sorted. I am in the same situation and am starting the process by requested a birth certificate. Any useful tips would be great! Thanks!
