Hello!

We are moving to Amsterdam this summer and plan to stay 2 years and then reconsider either move back to Ireland, stay in NL or love elsewhere.
I am looking into schools for our children (3, 5 and 15 yr old).
For the 15yr old we are aiming for her to enroll in an international school start either an IB diploma or A levels - to complete a 2 year course prior to University. We are considering anywhere within a ~1 hour commute to Amsterdam Zuid stop. I can find some reviews of the ISA and AICS schools but not much for the British school or hilversum or Utrecht international schools. We’re also considering Haarlem international school and Amity international school, I believe their IB diploma is starting in 2022.

Does anyone have experience with these schools that they can share?

For the younger children we are thinking public Dutch schools though we are slightly concerned that if we only stay two years then effort to integrate into the Dutch system would be wasted. Any advice/similar experience to share would be appreciated Smile

Facebook group "Amsterdam mamas: Dutch education group" will be your best bet.

Hi, we are considering moving to Amsterdam this summer. Our eldest is 14 so I would love to hear what you did in the end regarding school for your eldest and any advice you have! Thank you!

ISA is probably your best bet for your 14 year old.
