Does anyone have reccomendations for Australina baby product mail order catalgoue companies or internet shops that also have catalogues? Or any decent baby shops in/near Sydney? I would be willing to travel for a big shop as the one or two that are near me are not great.

Babies Galore have an online shop and shops all over Sydney. Bumpto3 have a good lonline shop and I love their catalogue. I bought a lot on ebay last time around - new stuff too! HTH, Sim

I got a lot of stuff from target, K-mart and bigW - but had lots of hand me downs too.

Pumpkin patch is online also.

What exactly are you looking for? Kids Central has some nice stuff - I'm a bit past the baby stage but their shop in Hornsby has lovely bedding, toys, an in-house ELC etc.

Just looking for an equivalent of Mothercare really! More for the major bits & pieces rather than clothes & everyday supplies. I have been to a local Babies Galore but it was tiny, and the baby section of our Toys R Us looked like a war zone. Will check out Kids Central - I think there is one at Hoyts which is nearish. And ebay for smaller stuff - good idea.

Alexandria has a shop called Baby Kingdom that does the bigger stuff and is regarded as 'good prices' I think they promote that they will negotiate. So if you were going to buy a cot a pram a change table et al than you could probably get some smaller things thrown in or get a bit off. Actually I've got a cot, change table and chest of draws that I bought for DS2 - very solid quality stuff - I bought it second hand. Anyway, let me know if you are interested - I am in no particular hurry.

Hi Sim - might be interested in your furniture if it is medium or lightish in colour? Please email me with details when you can: njayc(at)hotmail(dot)com . Thanks.
