DH has landed a job, waiting for offer, and I will be able to work for them as well (previous employer of mine). I have found a city centre place, and have reserved a place on waiting list. DS is 6mo now, and will be about 9mo by the time we get there, if we go. Is there anywhere else in the city you know of that I can contact now, in case we do move there? Or anyone childminding? Probably looking from mid March 2008, 3 days per week, based on what I know now.

We are thinking of doing apartment living in the city as office is in Adelaide Tce, and we enjoy city apartment living (well I do, DH yet to experience it) hence need for in city care.

TIA

bump

I think Suzy wong is in Perth ...

Have you been to Perth before Cod? I love Perth but have to say that it just feels a bit strange to me when you say 'City' when referring to Perth. The CBD of Perth is quite compact - very small town feel etc. I hope your employer is supplying a relocation consultant as accommodation in Perth is at a premium since the resources boom and tough to find. My BF is moving there from Sydney in the New Year and she has been to hell and back even with the use of a Relocation Consultant and her DH already working over there for the last 12mths.

If I were you I would be looking for something close to the beach or with a pool - gets damn hot in Perth . You should make sure any place you are looking at has air conditioning. HTH

suzywong · 06/12/2007 09:59

here you are Anti, these are all in the city centre

TheAntiCod · 06/12/2007 12:13

Thanks! It's the ANTIcod that's moving. Sorry Cod, bet you wish it was you.

I've lived in Brisbane, Newcastle, Boyne Island before. If we can delay accepting an offer something might come up in Brisbane in the new year.

Looking for apartment with pool, tennis court, gym etc... a friend is there already living in one, 8mins walk from work. HR in our company is good at relocation so we are not worried at this stage.

Thanks suzy, I will ring a few more and book him in
