Does anybody live there? Any advice before we move there too?

Okay, my friend says:

I don't think there will be much trouble getting food; but I'm not sure what would be open, probably the non-native food places and petrol
stations. Depends how late we are talking, but the Chinese places don't like closing..

Don't worry about the hijacking, I am very interested in any skiing/culture ifo/advice on offer. I've never skied before but will have to have a go soon as it would be rude not to!
