My DD is 17. She will doing her A levels next summer and she has an idea she would like to study in Italy. She has friends who have done it and loved it. However, we are not sure of the impact of Brexit on these kinds of options anymore.

Does anyone know?

Does she want to study a whole degree in Italy or spend a year in Italy before, during or after a degree in the U.K.?

U.K. universities will still be offering mobility to the EU as part of degree programmes but it might be worth considering NI, Wales and possibly Scotland for university as they are either still able to access Erasmus or another programme to support mobility and exchange. English universities will be running mobility through the Turing scheme but it is a new scheme.

Unless your daughter has access to an EU passport she will be an international student which may require some additional insurance, immigration requirements etc depending on the country and length of stay but universities will be able to advise as they become familiar with the new arrangements for each country.
