Nice villages near Maastricht (Netherlands)?

Hello, My husband and I consider moving to Maastricht. Any experience with the city and property prices? Any upscale villages or small towns near Maastricht to consider as well? Particularly in terms of buying a property. Would appreciate any comments. Many thanks.

Hi Mondorf, I'm the opposite side of the country so can't help myself, but if you are on Facebook look for the group Amsterdam Mamas. It has a lot of people (including me) not actually in Amsterdam and questions like yours come up a lot, that may help. Good luck!
