Has anyone done an application for an EAD recently? How long did yours take to be processed?
Initially I was advised 6 weeks to 3 months but on tracking the application (As you do when you are not doing much) it’s now saying current estimate is 5.5 - 7.5 months.
Just wondering if anyone has recent personal experience of real processing times.

Hi @BritInUS1 that may well be true. I applied before I moved as my husband was already in the US, I didn't think to check if it was OK or not. I just thought due to delays in processing I would be living in the USA by the time it got seen. Which is very true! I'm still waiting and have been here since the end of December (Covid obviously hasn't helped) USCIS asked me to provide copies of my entry into the US so what you say could well be correct. I don't remember needing to submit this at the time but obviously I didn't have this until I moved.

Just in case anyone was wondering, it was approved today 🎉🎉 so depending on which timeline is allowed, original application to end was 8 months, or entry to the US to end was 5 months. Which in the grand scale of things isn't too bad. Just glad to be able to go back to work!
