Right - DH has gone to Bermuda - who wants to keep me company for the next 2 months while I wait for my visa?

I took him to Gatwick yesterday. How weird to come home and realise he is not going to ever come back to the house as it is! It's going to be 3 years till he sets foot in it again, tenants will change it - this is my desk now!

I expect to be here till end October before visas for me and the children come through. Anyone can give me tips as to packing up your life and going to live in another country, tips about Bermuda, or just keep me company till I see my DH again?

The last 10 days have gone by in a blur. My house looks like a war zone. I am totally exhausted and still have 101 tasks to do in the next week. But I am happy.

I just hope there will be enough time left next week for some kind of last-minute meet-up - if anyone's interested?

How have I missed all this?

It's a question of waiting for immigration to issue our visas, which we were told originally would take 10-12 weeks - mid to end October we thought. Till DH called the week before last and told us they had called his office and it looked more like 3 weeks from then!

Still will not know till the visa is granted - now expected middle of next week.

Do you have the children going out with you as well? Are they excited?

Yes DD2 and DS are coming. They are really excited. Just been bringing things down from my loft. More stuff for the Steptoe house!
