Experiences of moving to The Netherlands

Hi,

If anybody has any experience of moving to NL please would you share it with me?

Will be moving in a couple of months with my baby who will then be 6 months and my boyfriend who is Dutch.

It’s a permanent move for us hopefully. He has a new job there. I will need to find a part time job eventually too.

I’m excited but also nervous. I’m scared of being lonely, feel like I’ve just found my feet with the baby and getting out to groups to meet people and now we’re moving!

How did you find meeting other mums? Did you find activities to do outside the house with your baby? What was your general impression of living there?

Thank you

Do be very aware of the Hague Convention before you move.

Protect yourself financially.

@Nlds good point- hopefully won’t be needing it but its sensible to be aware of it
