I tried the Fairtrade one 100% Arabica but tbh I 'm not that fussed about it. What would you recommend for Madame?
Instant or ground.

And I won't be sucking it up with a Tim-Tam straw.

I rarely drink it, so dh gets the cheepest I can find...& it won't be FT!

sandcastles · 07/07/2007 11:50

cheap...not cheep! I'm not a bird!

eidsvold · 08/07/2007 01:43

I use nescafe decaf at the moment - I have used some can't remember which it was - when I go shopping at Coles next week will look and see if I can see it again and make a note of its name.

why not use a tim tam straw - wuss!!

eidsvold · 08/07/2007 01:44

did you see they now stock green and blacks - was going to try some - what is the orange and spice one like??

ghosty · 08/07/2007 03:15

Can't believe your mentioned the N word Eidsvold
Suzy I don't like the Fairtrade Arabica one either ...
We are using whole beans atm (grind at home) "Grinders"
I will make it a personal mission to try out some PC beans if I can find some. Leo's do a bigger range of PC coffee from what I can see ... but you pay more for it.

eidsvold · 08/07/2007 04:28

ghosty - only one i can get in a decaf at the store that tastes remotely okay.

ghosty · 08/07/2007 04:32

I know eids ... not having a go, just at your courage

suzywong · 08/07/2007 11:19

well you'd better have a good one set up for the Sunday morning after the Saturday night before when you take me out and treat me like a Duchess in Melbourne in November, ghosty

yes, Maya Gold is delicious, eids.

Oh, yes! Eids, come ... you must! I insist!

eidsvold · 10/07/2007 07:33

suzy - could not see any in Coles today. Mind you had the three dds and so was doing the shopping as quickly as possible

suzywong · 10/07/2007 08:00

Hats off to eids for taking 3dds around the nightmare that is Coles (it's being sold and revamped, did you know?)

Sends eids some Maya Gold scented belches

GryffindorGHOSTY · 10/07/2007 08:58

My local coles is pants pants pants ...

eidsvold · 10/07/2007 10:06

i used the disabled parking as I have a red badge for dd1 who has no road sense whatsoever and would run off at the drop of a hat ( and she does). Had so many people nearly walk into a pole near my car trying to see if I had a badge as I had dd3 in the sling and was lifting dd2 and 1 into a trolley to transfer them into the special needs seat attached trolley.

Thanks for the belches suzy NOT

eidsvold · 10/07/2007 10:08

they really were very good. Dd3 went to sleep as she loves being in the sling and other than dd1 trying to put things in the trolley we didn't need ( but hey her dad does that too!) they were brilliant. I have to take them next week as it is just a busy week and only window for grocery shopping is wed morning and I will have the three of them again. So hopefully it is something we can attempt every now and then. I usually go of a night time alone! My one hour of peace sad I know.

GryffindorGHOSTY · 10/07/2007 22:59

I know what you mean Eidsvold.
DH took the children out for a couple of hours on Sunday afternoon ... what did I do with my time? Ironing and I really enjoyed it, double

eidsvold · 11/07/2007 01:22

i find being able to get things done like the ironing without having to attend to the dds makes me feel pleased too - sad I know.

anotherbadmother · 11/07/2007 01:37

I bought some fairtrade coffee that I think was called Scarborough Fair from Coles. The packaging was orange I think. I wont pretend to be a coffee connoiseur, but it tasted ok to me!

anotherbadmother · 11/07/2007 02:01

Not sure where you're located, but the OXFAM website lists all the retailers selling fairtrade around australia:

suzywong · 11/07/2007 06:42

thanks for the link
