Council tax in Luxembourg

Hi
Is there an equivalent to council tax in Luxembourg? I pay about £200 per month to my local London council. Covers things like refuse collection, street cleaning, that sort of thing. Wondering if anything similar exists in Luxembourg and average cost? Thanks.

We are in Lux but just out of town and the tax may vary commune (council) to commune.

We pay around EUR 150 a month. We have the largest size of bin so could reduce the cost if we opted for a smaller bin.

This also covers sewage, water etc.

The water is estimated and they adjust your debit at the end of each year based on your consumption.

I think it will depend on if you rent a house or a flat. With flats the commune costs are usually part of the charges that the landlord sets (at least I think? We’ve only ever lived in single family homes here). For our 5 bed house in a commune bordering Lux Ville, I think we pay about €450 every 3 months and that covers water, bins, sewage, commune sponsored offerings like language classes, etc. It does depend on where you are.

Oh, and the bins are a one-off purchase and then they are chipped so that you are charged based on the weight of your rubbish. If you move you can take your bins with you to the new commune.
