It's been some time since we all shouted 'here' so can I do another?

Anyone in Oz (Oh, OK...NZ too) or coming in near future please say 'I'

Thanks!

Sunny, I remember doing my emails in Singapore airport.

What a wonderful feeling huh! A heady mix of new adventure & apprehension!

For a while it will feel like a big holiday, I can remember thinking I'll have to start packing to go 'home'. Then I just kinda drifted into it being real life. Strange how these things go. We've been here a year now (think I just said that before)...hope it all goes well. Don't forget to touch base as soon as you can!

sandcastles - you will have to do the test - comes in July 1 - better get studying.

his ceremony was fab though - people from Sierre Leone, south africa, lots of UK, sri lanka all over.

but we will help where we can.

eidsvold · 29/06/2007 05:57

i can just see you flinging your coat off and pouring vodka over yourself

ozchick · 29/06/2007 06:00

Hi all
I am a Brit living in Adelaide - been here for a year now, got dd aged 2 and am pregnant with no 2 - due in August. Australia rocks but am feeling a little homesick for Blighty, although current gloomy weather is making feel a little more at home. Would be nice to be in touch with some other ex-pats.

scully · 29/06/2007 07:25

Hi Ozchick, I'm not an expat but did spend 11yrs in the UK and returned to Brisbane last October, so all seems a bit new so far, although I grew up here.
Also pregnant, (with no.3), very new though, due in February
Goddess number 2 is whining at my feet so had better give her some attention

ghosty · 29/06/2007 07:39

DH has been trying to assure me that there aren't very many 'loofahs' in Melbourne ...
but then I found this

sandcastles · 29/06/2007 09:44

Eids....does it have to be vodka? Jack Daniels?

It won't be til next year, is there anywhere I can see the test before hand?

Ozchick....hey, I'm in Adelaide! Where are you???

jimmy was a big vodka drinker from memory. I saw him - jimmy barnes in concert way back when and he and the band just drank the entire concert - it was a wonder they could still stand let alone sing and play by the end.

I am sure they will have it somewhere online before long. Dh was supposed to answer questions regarding his responsibilities as a citizen so he read up and they asked him NOTHING!! he was so gutted.

scully - did you see the meetup thread??

ozchick · 29/06/2007 11:12

Hi Sandcastle, email on it's way to you . Hello Scully, lucky you to be in Brizzie, must be lovely and warm. Congratulations on your pregnancy.

eidsvold · 29/06/2007 11:13

scully - what hosptial will scully jnr be born at??

eidsvold · 29/06/2007 11:13

had dd2 and 3 at the royal women's.

scully · 29/06/2007 12:52

Hi Eidsvold, no didn't see that thread
Haven't been to the gp yet, but am expecting to go to Redland Hospital. Have heard good things, from a few people who have gone public there and thought it was ok.
I saw Jimmy Barnes playing in a North London pub in 1996, can't remember what he was drinking, but think he and his audience were all pretty wasted
Ozchick, Brisbane isn't so warm at the moment, at night anway. I miss double glazing and central heating dh keeps telling me I lied to him about how warm it is here.....

sandcastles · 29/06/2007 13:11

Now I understand the Vodka link...I could at a push!

ozchick..checking now.
