Frankfurt area: Good Grundschule in Hanau?

Hello everyone!

Can anyone recommend a good Grundschule in the Hanau region? Do you have any experience with any of them? I would really appreciate any advice you can offer.

This is a new school in Friedrichsdorf (quite far from you, I know. I mention it only because I know the headteacher - both of our DC went through her previous schools - and she is absolutely excellent. Kids and parents adore her, even though she is very strict. I am a teacher myself and she is literally the best teacher and head I've ever encountered. She's not a friend of mine so this isn't hyperbole or a plug, just an honest opinion. I have no doubt her Frankfurt school will benefit hugely from her skills).

Are you already living in Hanau OP or know where you would live there? I only ask because if you’re going to send kids to state school they will have to go to the catchment school. Or do you want to know good schools to pick an area to live?
I don’t know Hanau well unfortunately so can’t give any recommendations but just in case you weren’t aware wanted to put that out there. I often recommend the FB group expatbabies Frankfurt in here just because there are lots more people to give advice & recommendations in more specific questions. Might be worth you joining that group and asking.

LockedOutOfMN interesting I hear your feedback on the headteacher of the new school in Friedrichsdorf, I know there were lots of difficulties with the previous school so hope this one will be better (fees are eye watering for those of us not on expat contracts though )
