Anyone had experience of transferring to US public school? Specifically re shots?

I worried about American history too. It really wasn’t a problem, it was easy enough to pick up.

They do (in our state at least) lots about state history so you might want to look up key points of your state’s history for background.

Yes, I think the curriculum will be OK for her. At that age it's not too difficult to switch IMO.

If she watches US shows on TV she'll be ready for the different language - pants for trousers, etc. I've been here over 10 years and I'm still learning some of the nuances of the language eg I only realised recently that I say suncream but everyone else says sunscreen.

She might look forward to not having to wear uniform to school, and having an 11 week long summer holiday... I mean vacation :-)
