nurseries in Stockholm/Solna?

Going out on a limb here but does anyone know of any good nurseries with space in the Vasastan/Solna area? We have just relocated and are finding it massively difficult to find something to begin before May.

Thanks!

Not sure which ones have space as I don't live in Stockholm - there may be a queue. I think you will need to ring around. You could start by calling the kommun/local authority as they should know which nurseries have space as for many you will need to apply through the kommun as places are heavily subsidised.

To narrow it down there it a list of nurseries in the kommun here:
www.solna.se/sv/forskola-skola/forskoleverksamhet/hitta-forskola/
The list shows

  • name of nursery
  • omrÃ¥de = area of the kommun it is located
  • regi = whether it is local authority (kommunal) or private/free nursery (fristÃ¥ende)

Thanks a lot! Have managed to find one with availability already, hoping it is nice when we visit.

It is a while since I did a big move and I had forgotten how fish-out-of-water the first weeks are!
