So my family and I have just moved from the UK to US for 3 years. We have chosen a place in Wyckoff NJ. I was wondering if anybody knows of any groups etc. to meet people or any words of wisdom? Any advice greatly received.

Welcome to NJ! Hope you aren't too cold. Im not sure of what the FB groups are for your town. Just try searches like 'Wycliffe mommies'. If you have been relocated your agent should also be able to give you the listing of local FB groups.

Let me know if you need help with anything. It's due to go down to 9F on Saturday. It's a definitive indoor day if ever there was one!

Welcome to NJ! We moved here in October so are newbies too. Don't know the area you're moving too but can try to answer any newbie questions you may have!

Thanks guys had to adjust to the extreme cold! The poor delivery guys had to unload our furniture during the storm last Thursday! Slowly getting my bearings. It's been great so far. Went to the local stop and shop for a quick stock up - how expensive is food?! Also bought some (what I thought was beef mince) this was not 😳🙈 had to improvise dinner that night Hmm must get back to unpacking Confused

Food is expensive compared to the UK. We find shoprite works out cheapest and use Costco for meats. Mince is ground beef here. Be careful to watch the fat content.
