Where do you live and does anything happen?

I'm in France and I didn't see any French mention of it yesterday. In fact if I search for it in French, apparently it is on 23rd April.

23rd April has always been book day, due to it being the birth (and death) date of Shakespeare, (supposedly) and also the birth date of Cervantes.

In loads of countries they have special "markets" of books etc etc.

World Book Day is a Disneyfication of it I suppose. As far as I know it's only you lot in the UK who have to do it. thank fuck

Doesn't exist here in Italy.
