Bilingual School New York - French American Academy?

Hi, we're currently thinking about a move to work in New York and then we'll move home to Canada. We're in London at the moment.

I'm really keen that my DS(3) attends a bilingual school in New York as I'd like him to go into the French/ English stream when we go back to Canada. This is a deal breaker for me, if I can't find a good stepping stone for the next couple of years, we'll move directly to Canada. We don't speak French at home, which means he can't slot in when he's older.

I've found the French American Academy in Jersey City which looks good on paper, and seem very nice when I talked to them. Does anyone know this school? and can let me know what it's like from a parents perspective.

And we're not wedded to locations to live so any other suggestions of schools you have would be most appreciated.

Le lycee francais has a very good reputation. Sorry no first hand experience.

Le Lycee does have a good reputation - we know people at the Los Angeles lycée and their kids are happy there.
