Furniture rental in UK

So we are moving back to the UK and seems there are more unfurnished rental properties than furnished and want to have the choice from as big a rental pool as possible. We might ship our furniture but it will take several weeks to arrive so either way if we rent unfurnished we will need to rent furniture for at least a few months or longer if we decided not to ship ours.

We won't want to buy furniture until we buy a house which will be at least 12 months in.

So I have been looking into renting furniture, have quotes from Instant Home and David Phillips Furniture Rental which seem reasonable.
Anyone used either of these or recommend another one?
Thanks

I'd get it 2nd hand on ebay, probably much cheaper and you get to keep it or sell it on. In some countries i can see the reason to rent but uk swimming with unwanted furniture and cut price.

thanks Dogs, I also posted this on the property section and got the same suggestion + ikea and charity shops so will look at those options instead of renting. I have never used ebay and not been to an Ikea in over 10 years so had not even thought of them. Cheers

I would add to definitely ask Estate Agents as I listed my house to rent fully furnished but had one offer of semi-furnished with tenants wanting half the furniture out and another offer with the estate agent telling me the tenants wanted as much furniture left behind as possible, which is what I was offering anyway! It could be that landlords would be happy to leave furniture if they know it's required.

InaPuckle thanks will do that too

We too are moving back to the UK and our furniture will take two months to get back. The company is renting us furniture but looking at the cost if I was paying I would go to ikea and look on free cycle.

cheers Twinchaos1, I spent a happy evening last week creating a shopping list on the IKEA website.

Good luck with your move
