Finding a temporary Krippe place in Frankfurt

Hi all. I'm going to be in Frankfurt for two weeks at the start of September, and I need to find a kinderkrippe place for my DD (she'll be 22 months). I've emailed one of the Kitas, but I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations? I'll be working near Bockenheimer Anlage.

I would be very grateful for recommendations. It's awfully hard to decide on these things from afar!

Hello! Do you need a bilingual place? I very much doubt you would get in to a state run Krippe for just two weeks but I would guess that private nurseries would be more open for that kind of thing. Have a look at kids camp, there is one in Junghofstrasse which isn't too far. I know someone who works there (she's on mat leave at the moment tho) and her DS goes there.
Also if you are being sent to Frankfurt by your employer have a look at Kids Opernturm (run by pme familienservice). It's at Taunusanlage/Opernplat and provides child are for working parents, you can only get a place through your employer.

Hope that helps, good luck!

Thanks Welshcake - I'll look into those. It is my employer sending me. The Krippe does not need to be bilingual, as DD can understand lots and speaks a little German.

I've just thought of something else, if you don't have any luck with those places, post on the expat babies Facebook page. There are so many people there someone will have been in your situation and have an idea for you.

Just wanted to say thanks welshcake. PME Familien Service came through and DD loves the place they found for us. As a bonus, it's only 5 mins from work!
