Pregnant friend moving to Quatar

My friend will be moving to Quatar at 28 weeks pregnant with her first baby. Can anyone tell me what the maternity care is like, and particularly what sort of postnatal care she can expect. How easy will it be for her to link with the expat community and get support. She knows nothing about the place (partner' job is dictating the move) and is understandable anxious.

Yes Livin its my first baby so have very little at moment.Not having a baby will mean having to pay for excess luggage for pushchair if bought in advance. Unless I leave it till we ship things over which means I may not get our things on time. I am cool with the idea of buying second hand stuff, where do Mums advertise in Doha?

There is a buy it sell it swap it qatar facebook page, but it has got really really big now and there is a lot of attempting to negotiate etc. I'm not sure you can join it until you are actually in Doha.

I sold a lot of stuff on the Doha mums private classified page when i was leaving, and many people sell on it. I also sold things through my compound facebook page. Once you know where you will be living you can see if they have a page.
