Penpals Needed for 5 and 8 yo Girls!

My five year old wants a pen pal in New Zealand, but really anywhere will do. Obviously as she's only five her letters might mostly be pictures, she is very good at reading and writing for her age though.

My eight year old would like a pen pal anywhere. She did have a pen pal in America but the pen pal seems to have stopped writing so she wants a new one.

WE want proper pen and paper go to the post office and get a stamp sort of thing. Any offers?

Any suggestions where else I can post this?

We are in the UK and they both speak only English btw.

I would not be trawling for penpals for 5 and 8 year old girls on the internet.... and - sorry... but I would not put MY kids in contact with someone I would not know...

Why? Sorry but a parent is quite capable of reading the contents before handing it over to a child.

I always had pen pals. Usually from magazines if I remember correctly.

I've found quite a few penpals for the DC through MN and have never had any problems; it's been great actually, as I wouldn't have known where to look otherwise.

DD2 loves writing letters to her penfriends - I suspect she may have reached her limit as she's already writing to quite a few and is a little behind atm, but I can always ask her if you're still looking.
