Lots of posts lately about not. Just wanted to hear from anyone who feels the move was a positive experience , with no plans to return to the UK. Can you add where you are please?

Thanks...

Mmm, I don't know Salbertina, if we are always chasing dreams, we miss out on the here and now, occasionally this is a good thing but for most of the time joy comes from the small things that can be found anywhere if the big things fall into place and work.

So kind of you to say that Misty. At times I don't know how I/we have got through the last year! But now I feel stronger than ever and our marriage is also a lot stonger too. At one point I wasn't sure it would survive. I heard today that the awful head of elemtary at SAIS is "not having her contract renewed". That brings up all sorts of mixed emotions cos her approach and attitude 100% affected how things played out for us. I have felt very angry at her, but now relieved for others that she is leaving (apparently not of her own choice). I feel that justice has been done, finally, and I hope my formal complaint to the parent company, the IB organisation and the minister of Education in Singapore helped serve it.

I bet I'm one of these bloody poms who's still going on about "home" when I've lived outside of the uk for years lol
It is about making the best of things and the grass does always look greener.

Been overseas for over 18 years and no plans to return at the moment. Currently in china, where life is always bewildering but never dull!
