Australian passport for UK born kids?

Hello. I am Australian citizen by descent (hold both UK and Aussie passports) but have lived most of my life in UK. I want to get Aussie citizenship for my kids and I can see that I need to have lived in Oz for 2 years in total. What I would like to know is: Can you count short trips in the total? (I have had a lot of 2-4 weeks trips over the years, which do add up, but only 'lived' in Oz for 13 mths). The application form doesn't have much space on it and I have made a lot of short trips!
Any advice greatly appreciated.

I may be wrong but I thought the "lived in" phrase is assumed residency. Primarily... Paid australian tax. There will be a clarifying statement somewhere.

I think it's worth a go, if you can provide proof.

^^If your Australian citizen parent was a citizen by descent, evidence that your parent was resident in Australia for two years, such as:
school records
employment records
any documents issued by an Australian government agency^^

So they are not saying it has to be consecutive. But they are saying you need proof. So you would have to submit all your passport stamps.

Annh, but resident. So no. You weren't resident. Just visiting.
