Where exactly do you live?
Which school year?
Are you changing from another French school and which one?
What are you looking for in a school?

It's just these schools are quite far apart, they don't go together as a natural choice.

7 year old in what year? If starting in P2 in September and already been to French school, cannot change school for another year.

Angelus
Divin Sauveur
du Bonheur
St Henri
Van Meyel

SC de Lindhout and DB are too far, if staying to secondaire, far means disaster for a school place.

my daughter has 7 year it will be p2 in next year.
she already in french school (fondmental communal ).
i see you put l'angelus is a frist chois,,,,, is this excellent school as donbosco and sc de lintout
are you arrange the school base on the distance or what?

Hi there UNOMAR it means your 7 year old cannot leave Prince Baudouin for another year, it's a strict rule, unless you're moving home you cannot change school between P1 and P2, P3 and P4. Your 2 other children can move school, but not the eldest.

Look most schools are good in WSL, why put your child in a school 2km away when you can put them in a school 200m away of the same standard? Divin Sauveur is just as near as Angélus - one used to be boys and one used to be girls so used to be twin schools.

Distance is ESSENTIAL if staying for secondary. For example, go against my advice and put your child in Don Bosco for primaire, instead of Angélus or Divin Sauveur, come secondaire application, your child will NOT get a place at Don Bosco secondaire, put them into Angélus or Divin Sauveur for primaire, you might get a place at Don Bosco for secondaire, but in fact you're more likely to get a place at excellent DDM next door to du Bonheur primaire, that is your nearest secondaire and one of the best regarded in Brussels. So the nearer your primaire, the better chance of a secondaire place at a decent one.

Given when you are applying, getting ONE school with 3 places is going to be rather difficult. I'd guess the only school you'll find that an easy task in your area is the school your children are already at as it's the least sought after in that area, though compared to schools in other areas of Brussels, it would be still quite desirable.

thank you very much for your advice.

what i understand from your words that its better to me join my children at L'Angelus
and there no big difference between schools like (l'angelus or donbosko )
it better to me to choose the nearest one .

is school l'angelus is agood choice???????

i already have an appointment with L'angelus tomorrow .when i call them .they didn't told me any thing about that.(about my 7 years)

i call Bonuheur but i didn't find place this year i have to wait to next year

i would like your advice what i do now
move my children to (L'angelus) this year or wait for next year untill i find place in( bonheur)

Go and see Divin Sausveur too.

Well if you didn't mention to the school that your child had done P1 at Prince Baudouin this year, they wouldn't have told you the 7 year old cannot move school. They will tell you though. It takes very exceptional circumstances for the French school inspectors to authorize a move between P1 and P2. Any new school needs the authorization from the inspectors, it can take several weeks.

You phoned the schools how many times? You passed by them and talked to them how many times? You need to phone and go in person sometimes more than once. One phone call is not usually enough to get school places.

I cannot advise you when to move your children's schools, that is entirely up to you. If you are here long term, find the exact order of schools to your home and choose hopefully the nearest school, or 2nd nearest. The measurements are "as crow flies" not as you can walk to them.

i already called Divin Sauveur i did not find place this year i have to register for next year
do you know any information or bad reviews about school L'ANGELUS

Phone again and again and again. Children fail to take up places. Phone now. Phone in a week. Phone in 2 weeks, phone in 3 weeks. Then finally you'll be mid September. This is how people get the schools places they want.
