Anyone else in Dubai fancy meeting up?

Hi,

I've been in Dubai for 1.5 months now - I was on the hand holding thread and I saw there were a few of us living here and some had been a bit up and down!

I am mostly enjoying it but it hasn't been as easy to meet people as I thought. So I wondered if anyone fancied meeting up?!

I have 2 DSes - DS1 is 4.10 and at JPS, DS2 is 3.2 and home with me full time until he starts FS1 in September. We haven't found any groups that suit us so far, most toddler groups only seem to have kids up to about 2 and any other groups are after school and at the moment DS1 is a bit too tired for much!

Check out TopTots in Dubai, maybe you'll make nice friends there. We loved it when we lived there. It should still be at Al Wasl Road, in some health clinic. Have a look. I think Tammy is still running it, she is ace.

Lol I'm always happy for a meet up, but ds is a bit old for play group ( currently doing A levels). Why don't you check out expatwoman they have bumps and babesvnd mums and tots. Also try mamavents they do a lovely mums and kids meet up. They are on fb and the Internet.
If you're looking for a night out let me know I'm happy to meet up for a drink.

I've been here for about 6 months. I have 2 ds's 5 and nearly 4 and a dd 2. The younger 2 go to nursery sun-weds, but i have them on a thurs if you'd like to meet up? Where are you living? I've found it very difficult to make friends, although very slowly seem to be exchanging numbers.

We're living in Springs so fairly easy for us to get out and about! Be great to meet up, since I posted I have met a few more people but it does take time doesn't it?

I'm really glad we moved though, its been fantastic for the DCs.
