Moving back to UK in May , my ds has a much loved leopard Gecko - has anyone tried to take one back? Sort of wishing I had bought a dog, as this seems easier!

There must be a way to do it legally. Have you checked with your airline? or DEFRA?
Have a look here.
My cousin brought four baby tortoises back from Sri Lanka in her bra. I don't recommend that.

Smile cousins tortoises are all about 15 years old now. I doubt she'd get away with it with today's airport security. Hers was a quick look over at Colombo airport then a 14 hour flight with them mainly asleep.

I am sure you can, but it might be expensive.

Wow! Must be different gecko? We have wild, mini plasticine-like geckos in our house, never thought of taking one home unless unintentionally Grin
also have wild tortoises; Shock at bra trick especially having seen how copiously they poo Still v cute tho and wd be tempted to take back if we cd. Think v hard now or even illegal to import tortoises into UK?
