Potential move to Sebastian, Florida - anyone familiar with the area?

Hi,

DH is on the verge of being offered a job in Sebastian, Florida. He's going out for a visit in the next few weeks but I won't have the opportunity to go.

Is anyone familiar with this area and what it's like to live there? My main consideration is education as DS (5) goes to a great independent school in the UK and I don't want his education to suffer. Also, about living there, as I heard the bottom had fallen out of the property market so am concerned about buying a house that then have difficulties selling if/when return to UK.

Any advice?

Don't buy until you are permanent residents (green card not visa) If Dh loses his job the visa becomes invalid in most cases and you can't just look for another job as it has to be visa applicable so you end up with about 30 days to leave the country, selling can be a nightmare as the bottom fell out of the market. It has happened to quite a few families sadly.
