Looking for a cleaner/babysitter, not a live-in maid, and seeking agencies in a forest of possibilities. Any tips or recent experiences of good agencies?

Is it school today?

I had sleepless nights trying to avoid a live in. I looked for a cleaner twice per week and a sitter 2 times per week but was hard. Babysitter won't be same one each time etc. I hope you find a solution. We have had a helper live in for 5 weeks now. She is fab and its much better than I imagined. It's not for everyone though. Good luck. I will watch this thread with interest!!

I think it's a thread that's been done to death, to be honest, and it's up tO me. Picked agency out of hat, got girl coming for trial clean next week - we shall see. If my maid's room was bigger I'd consider it but for 1 small boy and a SAHM not sure we need one.

Anyhow, the subject's been debated a lot, I was just asking for agency advice but I've gone and done it now :)

School started yesterday. Think he's ok. Hard to tell at best of times. He says it's 'enormous' which backs up my theory of putting him in one of Singapore's smaller schools. If he thinks this is big how would he have coped somewhere larger? He's worried about getting lost and looking silly, but all in the same breath told me who his new best friend is.

I think we'll be OK. Bloomin bus was 25 mins late, which didn't help, but he got there & back OK.

Hope your boys are feeling better?

Sorry a bit late I know but we used Starmaid in the past and were always happy with them.

Glad your ds survived has his first couple of days and hope it keeps getting easier.

That's great news that he has a new best pal!! Mine are struggling, especially the younger one. Trying to stay positive but its upsetting.
