Hello, I was wondering if anyone could recommend me a good paediatrician, english or french speaking, in the Woluwe St Pierre area of Brussels? Sorry for short and boring thread but I have drawn a blank so far! Thank you for any tip offs.

Try this doctor. Does it really have to be a paediatrician as GPs are fine for most child things?

This Polish paediatrician is used by parents at our school, but well booked up apparently due the fact she's Polish and plenty of Polish people in the area!

Thank you Natation, will try both of those. On the subject of paediatrician or gp, well my dc are 4 and 2, but I guess if we found a really good nice gp that would be fine too! I miss the NHS...!

I'm tight fisted, will not pay 45 instead of 23 euro, simple as that.

Hi - I really love my English speaking GP. She is a very kind, patient lady and has been my DS's doctor since he was 4 - she might be a good starting point at least (she is also a mother of 5!) I guess she's not too far from you - Etterbeek. pm me for her number if you like.

Our GP is in Woluwe St Pierre and she speaks English (I speak to her in French, my dh in Dutch and the children in English!!!). Dr Willemot, brussels.angloinfo.com/afdetail.asp?rec=5635. She will refer you to a specialist if necessary.

Natation, I'm tight-fisted too, especially as we seem to get a little less back for specialists than for GPs.

Are you on our secret facebook page Out of nappies? Pm me if you're interested. (Secret rather than just closed - means it can't be seen by anyone else and you have to be invited to join.)

I wholeheartedly second Nataion's recommendation of Dr Van Den Brande - am absolutely delighted with him. His English is good and he is very understanding when I try to practice my disgracefully bad Dutch with him. He's based in the Stockel area if this helps. And over the years we have given him many, many opportunities to practice his stitching techniques, alas (my brave little DS mainly - sigh)!

Thank you all so much for your recommendations. I now have a new doctor AND dentist!! Longtime, I am not on the FB page - in fact I am not on FB at all. Have got away with it so far and not even sure I would know where to start! I am on your spreadsheet though. Will PM you about the FB thing as I may be missing out here!
