Singapore at Christmas

Hi

Think we have decided that we will stay in Singapore for Christmas day and then go away somewhere after that. Anyone got any good recommendations for places to go for Christmas dinner with kids on Christmas day? Anybody else doing something similar?

Most of the hotels do lush spreads for christmas day. Book early!

Also, many expats have family visiting at that time of year and rent holiday homes in the region just before/after. Book your holidays early too, esp. Bintan/phuket/bali but also ski resorts on Japan.
While you're at it, think about booking your chinese new year break. It costs a fortune if you're lucky enough to find a flight closer to the date!

As Laptop says most hotels do brunch (free flow champagne) but you need to book early. We went to the Mandarin Oriental last year which was good as they had a big room for the kids with activities and toys etc. We went with a big group. The Beaufort at Sentosa (Sentosa Resort and Spa) would be another good option as you can use the pool and facilities there.

We have my MIL coming this year but not decided what to do yet.

We normally head to the ritz for lunch on Xmas day. The kids room is right next to the main ballroom so easy to keep an eye on them (it's also miles from the front entrance etc so no chance of escaping). They do a separate buffet for kids with pasta, mini burgers etc. also the usual magician, face painting, crafting etc and games, cartoons.... This is one of the few places with one sitting so you don't have to be out by a certain time or wait til 1.30 for lunch. Free flow Moët for the family buffet, usual fare of oysters, 4 meat carvery, sushi, salads, huge cheese board, desserts etc. been there for the past 3 years, love it
