Moving overseas - any books for kids?

Hi

We are moving to NZ in September and I was hoping to find some suitable books for a 5 year old that might explain what will happen etc. I've found some Usbourne ones about moving house but nothing about moving oveaseas. Any suggestions?

I have never seen one. If I was you I would write one yourself. Just for your dd I mean! Not professionally.

My Dad gave us this one. A bit wordy for 5-year-olds, maybe, but a start. Liking the idea of writing one...

A relocation agent - Crown - gave DC1 a book on moving when they quoted us a cost for the move. We didn't actually use the company in the end. DC loved the book though...

Like Grey Elephant we were given a book by one of the removal companies that gave us a quote. It is an Usbourne First Experiences book called Moving Overseas - I checked and it's not currently available on amazon.co.uk, but you may be able to find it somewhere else? It was sweet.

This is quite a good one for children moving overseas especially for boys.
