We're moving to the Frankfurt area in August, and we wanted to try to get the ball rolling on the accommodation front before then so that we don't have to uproot again after a few months. Ideally we'd like to buy a house, but at the least we'd like to rent in an area that we intend to stay in so that the DC can stay in the same KiGa, and I only have to make new friends once. I say "area" because we really don't want to live in the city although DH will be commuting in everyday.
We spent a week looking around the Taunus side of Frankfurt, and I think we've nailed down a list of a few smallish places with train links, but now we're stuck. We can't keep going back to look around, and there's a limit to how much you can find out by driving through a place, or even by googling. So does anyone know any of these places, and can give an opinion on how friendly they are, and if they have good social groups to join, or any negative information?
