Hi, we have already made the move out to New Zealand, but a opportunity has come up to settle in New Plymouth. We have so far spent only a weekend checking it out, am a bit scared of how far it is from anywhere. Would love to hear from anyone in the area. Weather? Schools? Lifestyle, etc.

No advice but watching with interest! We nearly moved out to NP from UK last year but had to delay because of family illness. Still hope to do it. I suppose for us the remoteness wouldn't matter, we'd be so far from home anyway! Look forward to seeing what people think.
