Englishgirl - I did take an empty suitcase.... actually I had two!! But things have got so expensive!! I was back last October but it didn't seem as bad then - now it just seemed crazy.... is that the recession that I keep hearing about?? ;-) It's mad the things that you'd never buy if you could just pop around to the corner shop and get them but when you know you won't see them for at least another year (mini eggs..... drooool), it suddenly becomes an insatiable craving!

I am in Riyadh, KSA and have been here for over 5 years now. Just trying to make the difficult decision as to whether to go home (UK) this summer. Had a week back in the UK a few weeks ago and it was lovely. Was great to be able to drive my car and eat as much bacon as I wanted. Oh, and of course the wine, baileys, malibu..... Grin

Brussels - have been here 4.5 years now and am still enjoying the novelty of not working. I miss UK at the time of year as in Cornwall the primroses, daffs and snowdrops will be out in the hedgerows and verges and you just don't see them here.

Hong Kong- been here 18mths. Before that we were in Dubai for a year.

I love it here but would like to move back to Europe some time in the next decade before my parents totally miss out on the DCs growing up- I'd love to live in Switzerland as I like skiing, like rules and hate noisy neighbours Grin.

I live in Salisbury , Wiltshire, England....my home town. Have lived in Australia, Florida, and Germany and Singapore as a child.
food out is better here than it used to be with Costa Coffee houses, Thai food, Shushi and more wine bars.
The weather is pretty awful, and given the choice i would live in the European Alps, both skiing in winter and the summer holidays there is FAB !!
