Im In Newie NSW. Finally feeling at home after a nightmare start. Would love to here how you came to be over here and what you Love and hate about it.

Took me ages to cope with cockroaches Id never seen one in the UK. Dont think I could come back now as the kids have really bought into the life and in the case of my 8 year old the accent!

We are down the road from you - on the Central coast.

We have been here just over a year arrived in Australia on the 3rd of Dec 2009.

I was born in the UK, but grew up in South Africa - lived there for 20 years.

DH was offered a job in the UK so we moved there for 10 years. And now we are in Australia.
I love it here - even the bugs don't bother me - saved a couple of funnel webbed spders from the pool in our rented house and a huntsman - but have not seen anything here, but mortein is my friend !

Grow a lot of fruit and veggies in my garden now - that keeps me busy. I have 2 children a daughter (10) and a son (9).

I think we will settle here now though as love the weather and life in general.

Chat soon - Bonza

been in aus better part of my life - born and bred in qld except for four years I spent living and working in the UK. Dh is english and he came on spousal - dd1 had citizenship by descent - we arrived back in 2004. We decided it would provide a better lifestyle for our dds - they love it here. Dh has absolutely no desire to return to live in the UK. First joined Mn in 2003 when I had a new babe and no family around me for advice.
