So Belgian MNetters, shall we have an Xmas Meet Up?

I mean a proper one, with frocks, food and no small children?

As I recall, no-one is tied to the house with tiny ones....feel free to beat me with Witloof if I am wrong...

I am at work all the time, so better to leave a daytime meet up to someone who is free in the day....

But we have Xmas markets, log fires, genever and a multitude of exciting places to meet up. What do you think?

That one's not far from me monkey :).

Kreecher, if you're coming by train, you could train it to gare centrale, metro to my house (I live two minutes walk from Beaulieu and I'm not exaggerating) then we could go together, either in the car or walking depending where we end up. You could stay here the night if you like.

kreecherlivesupstairs · 22/09/2010 11:53

Oooh, I am getting excited. You are very kind Longtime, I could be a hairy handed thief who will relieve you of all your lovely shiney things. i am not by the way.

LongtimeinBrussels · 23/09/2010 10:26

Well, we don't have any shiny things so I think we're quite safe :)

Portofino · 23/09/2010 11:48

I think it looks lovely too. Is everyone happy? Or other suggestions?

Did we still decide on 8th for a curry? DH has just sent me a big list of his travel arrangements and 8th is still free. He is travelling nearly every for the coming months. I know I am not the only one......Wink

AIBU to think of booking myself a nice weekend away somewhere for a rest?

kreecherlivesupstairs · 23/09/2010 11:59

8th good for me, I will ask tell my DH to keep that date free. Not sure when his works do will be, but I'm sure we can get a babysitter if necessary.

Portofino · 23/09/2010 12:49

kreecherlivesupstairs · 24/09/2010 08:12

Thanks for the clarification. I would have turned up on the 8th of December

LongtimeinBrussels · 24/09/2010 10:26

So Kreecher, are you turning up at mine on 8 October and 18 December?

Portofino · 24/09/2010 10:38

RuthChan · 24/09/2010 11:50

That sounds great ladies.
Sorry I can't make the curry on the 8th, but I'm looking forward to the christmas do!

kreecherlivesupstairs · 24/09/2010 12:50

Not on the axis of evil facebook. It is the work of the devil (or Duval).
Longtime, if it is OK, I'll come in December. Just lock your pretty shiney things awayWink

monkeybumsmum · 24/09/2010 12:59

Hello all, sorry I've been totally out of the link but have just read through everything and caught up.
Count me out for the curry as things are highly chaotic here at the moment, packing, moving house, urgh.

As for the Christmas party, I am a maybe at the moment, still sorting out Christmas plans/trips/visitors etc.

scaryteacher · 04/10/2010 20:16

Porto - what time is the curry on Friday?

LongtimeinBrussels · 08/10/2010 00:29

It's true, we don't have a time yet. By the way I have a horrible cold. Anyone object to me coming?

monkeybumsmum · 08/10/2010 06:49

Poor you Longtime, no objections here, and a curry should help Grin It's 8pm, booked under the name 'Marcus's wife' for some odd reason Hmm

See you later! (Presume you both know the address?)

LongtimeinBrussels · 08/10/2010 08:53

Ha, yes, I'd better bring my tissues as it's sure to unblock my nose!!

See you at 8pm!

Portofino · 08/10/2010 08:58

See you later! Let's hope DH remembers I am going out and doesn't disappear off to the pub after work.....
