What do you buy for the birthday of someone who is dying?

Best friend has weeks to live, I was due to take her away for the weekend but she is now too ill. She can't really eat much obv not drinking much so going out for dinner/drinks etc no good. Would like to do something with her as opposed to buy her something as she deserves a treat but what? Thought of a spa but think she is too ill now. Thought of flowers to send her but want to do more. Any ideas please?

It's hard, I remember having this dilemma for my mum's last birthday. In the end I got her a fluffy lamb soft toy! Not the sort of thing I would ever normally have bought for her, but it was beautiful and soft, didn't have any baggage (ie worrying about would she have time to use it, would it make her sad etc). Just a lovely object that brought a smile to her face.

Very sorry about your friend.
