I own and run a lesbian country house self-catering hotel in Spain - Bambu. Although when we originally conceived the hotel as an adult-only environment, as the majority of lesbians don?t have children and those that do, have become accustomed to staying in mainstream family hotels for their family holidays (we know as we have 2 daughters of our own, both now ?almost? grown up). However we have been contacted by several lesbian mums to enquire as to whether we would designate certain weeks for lesbian family holidays.
We think that this sounds like a fabulous idea. So the weeks we have in mind are the last week in May (but we are too late for 2010), the last week in August and the last week in October - Saturday to Saturday - every year.
As we are self-catering, you would also be in complete control of meal times and budgets - particularly important for family holidays.
